Whether you are a beginning nursing student or a registered nurse who wants to earn the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Bloomfield College’s nursing program will ensure you have the education you need for your professional nursing career.

Check out our two programs leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

Traditional Track—B.S. in Nursing
This program is for students interested
in a major in nursing and consists of four years of study leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. The curriculum is a prescribed sequence of courses based on the arts, sciences, humanities, and professional studies.

Registered Nurse Track—B.S. in Nursing
This program is for registered nurses who are graduates of associate degree or diploma programs. Advanced placement is awarded based on transfer of college credits and prior nursing courses.

Changing Healthcare Field
From its inception, the nursing division has been dedicated to offering a program that prepares its graduates to work in the changing healthcare field. Innovative Curriculum
At Bloomfield College, we
teach for today’s needs and tomorrow’s concerns. The curriculum is designed to prepare nurses skilled in
health promotion and illness prevention. Students gain clinical experience in community-based agencies as
well as in hospitals in surrounding towns.

Academic Support
The Center for Academic Development supports all students who need assistance in a particular academic area.

State-of-the-Art Facilities
Bloomfield College’s small, accessible campus provides a safe, supportive learning environment that includes nursing skills laboratories with staff assigned exclusively to nursing students. Computer assisted instruction supports classroom and field experiences. The College’s new library includes the Pollack Computer Laboratory.
