We affectionately refer to Tierney and Lauren as the Bloomfield College CATS because these third-year students are thriving in our Creative Arts and Technology Program (CAT) and are making quite a name for themselves there and abroad as well. Recently, Tierney and Lauren traveled to Kosovo and Macedonia to conduct workshops and empower International Debate Education Association (IDEA) students to produce and distribute audio and video reports on contemporary topics. The project was a tremendous success for all involved. Check out some of Tierney and Lauren’s work!

When they aren’t traveling across the globe or working on their most recent 3D Animation project, Tierney and Lauren work as Bloomfield College student ambassadors and are a very active part of our campus community. You can see them in action at our Open House events or giving our weekly campus tours!

The Dynamic Duo just returned from representing Bloomfield College and the CAT Program in Romania and Korea this summer!

Generally I would just consider myself a surf and turf kind of girl, but in my recent trip to Kosovo, I ate some really interesting and tasty dishes.	Favorite Food:	Any kind of sushi

Well for starters, I am Lakota Sioux (aka. Native American) and I used to dance at pow-wows when I was younger. Another interesting fact is that Whitney Houston is my second cousin.	Interesting fact about yourself:	I was an all star basketball and soccer player in grade school. Also, I play soccer here at BC.

I chose Bloomfield because they were one of the only schools in New Jersey that offered Animation as a major. I was looking for a school that was close to home and had a very competitive program.	Why did you choose Bloomfield?	I chose Bloomfield because it had an art-school feel and I had the chance to complete gen-ed courses. Also, I love being close to New York City.

The best thing about Bloomfield is that it is a small school, which allows the students to have a more personal relationship with their professors. It promotes a really comfortable environment to learn in.	What is the best thing about Bloomfield?	I have been handed many interesting opportunities at Bloomfield. I was able to teach audio editing in Macedonia and Kosova, and just had an amazing time in Korea this summer!
Out of all the classes I have taken so far Web Design, 3D modeling, Multimedia, and Creative Writing have been the most fun.	Favorite Class at BC and why:	3D Modeling. I''m a computer geek so I love nothing more than to sit in front of a computer and problem-solve.
To become a 3D animator and multimedia designer for a major company.	Career Goals:	Become Lead Animator for a major motion picture company such as Pixar.
One day during a Circus Arts class, my multimedia professor who used to be a circus performer and I decided to attempt a few small balancing stunts. The idea was for me to do a handstand on his knees while he was on his back and balance there. Disaster in the making. I attempted to do the handstand, but my spotter didn’t catch me. I then proceeded to flip over and finally I ended up with my butt getting acquainted with my teacher’s face.	Describe one “crazy” experience here at BC.	One of my friends and I used to run and belly dive into the quad when it was rainy and muddy to see who could slide the farthest.
