The College Level Exam or CLEP* provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through examinations in college courses. By “CLEPPING” you can advance toward a degree at a faster pace, demonstrate knowledge learned outside of the classroom, and save money.
Bloomfield College accepts a combination of General Examinations and Subject Examinations which correspond to Bloomfield College courses under the following conditions:
- A maximum of 16 course units may be earned through a combination of CLEP exams (including College Board Placement Tests), Lifelong Learning (Portfolio) Assessment, and Nursing Challenge Exams;
- General and Subject Examination credit is applicable to the fulfillment of the major and General Education requirements, subject to approval of your major advisor;
- Credit will be granted for the General Examination for scores of 500 and above and for scores of 50 and above on the Subject Examinations.
