What course load qualifies as full-time?

Three 4-credit course units.

How can I pay for courses?

  • Apply for and receive financial aid (i.e. grants, loans);
  • Arrange a payment plan with the Bursar’s Office;
  • Corporate reimbursement (contact Bursar Office for details Ext.204);
  • Pay in full using cash, credit cards, checks, money orders (no debit cards).

I have never been to college before, or it's been a long time.  Do you have an Orientation program?

Yes.  Our weekend/evening orientation program will help you prepare for the college experience.  Our faculty and staff will:

  • Address concerns you may have about attending college.
  • Provide tips and techniques on such areas as test-taking, note-taking, time management, and handling stress.
  • Offer refresher opportunities in mathematics.
  • Introduce you to the many support services on campus.

Who will advise me about course selections?

Each student is assigned an advisor either in the Center for Adult Learning or a full-time faculty member

Does Bloomfield College have career advisement?

A. Yes there is a Career Services Department which can help you search for employment on line, prepare your resume, prepare for an interview. They are available for appointments in the evening and on weekends.

Is there tutoring available?

The Center for Academic Development provides study groups & individual peer or faculty tutoring. For more information please see thier site.

Is there ample parking?

There is on street parking and two on campus parking lots that require the purchase of a decal.

Are the Library and service offices open evening and weekends?
