At Bloomfield College personal
counseling is available free of charge and is confidential. No reference to coming for
counseling is on an official record and nothing will be said to anyone outside the office,
even a dean or a parent, without the explicit permission of the student. The only
exception to this policy would be if the student were a danger to him or herself or to
others, in which case there would be an ethical and legal obligation to notify the proper
authorities.
