All prospective EAP students are required to take the College Board’s Levels of English Proficiency Test (LOEP Test), a computerized placement test administered in Richards Hall to place students into EAP I, EAP II, and EAP III. Transfer students must provide an official transcript from the last school that they attended.
How are EAP Students Placed?
Students are placed primarily according to the combined scores on their LOEP Test and an evaluation of a written essay. The following scale is used:

PROGRESSION THROUGH THE PROGRAM
Students who are enrolled in level I of EAP must complete the minimum requirements of the course and earn a final grade of “C” or better in order to advance to the next level. Students who complete EAP III courses, earn “C” or better, and pass the exiting exam can be registered for Freshman English.
