Have you heard the news?

We are involved in the FundingFactory™ Cartridge Recycling Program and the Cell Phone Recycling Program! This program is FREE and easy, but it will not work without your support.

How does it work? Instead of throwing away the empty cartridges from your printer, fax machine and even desktop copier, simply donate them to Bloomfield College and we'll take it from there! We will recycle the cartridges through the FundingFactory™ to earn points to exchange for new technology!

Did you know that over 300 million cartridges were thrown away last year alone? Help us turn that waste into valuable school equipment! Donate your empty laser and inkjet printer cartridges today! Together we can make this recycling program a huge success.

Please donate your empty inkjet, laser cartridges and call phones by bringing them to the Media Center (click for center location).

Visit our contact page or call us with any questions about this great opportunity.

Cell phones not accepted by the Funding Factory program will be forwarded to The Safe House, a non-profit organization that shelters and provides services for over 150 victims of domestic violence and their families each year.

These phones will afford their clients, many of whom are in fear for their lives, a very real sense of safety. For more information about this program contact:

Lions Club International has embarked on a program called Share Your Vision, enlisting schools across the country to collect used eyeglasses for recycling. Many people have eyeglasses in drawers and closets they can no longer use, but hesitate to throw them away because they once were of value to them. When they learn that these eyeglasses can now be valuable to others, they are happy to donate them.

We therefore encourage the Bloomfield College community members to ask family, friends, and neighbors to check their homes for eyeglasses they no longer need. (Don’t overlook used children’s eyeglasses and prescription and non-prescription sunglasses.

Please drop off these items to the Media Center, located in the Library on the Lower Level.
