BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE OFFERS SOFTBALL CLINIC FOR YOUNGSTERS
January 18, 2001 -- The Bloomfield College Lady Deacons softball team will host a softball clinic for area youngsters on Sunday, February 11 in the Bloomfield College gymnasium, corner of Liberty Street and Oakland Avenue in Bloomfield.
The clinic is open to girls in grades 2 through 12. Grades 2-5 will meet from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, grades 6-8 from 12 noon to 2 p.m., and grades 9-12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinic will be run by Anthony Nesto, head softball coach at Bloomfield College, along with members of the Lady Deacons softball team and staff, Bloomfield High School softball coach Bob Mayer, Bloomfield Recreation Traveling Team head coach Fred Celluro, private hitting instructor Jodi Werrell, and private hitting instructor Mike Schiro.
The fee for the clinic is $18 for pre-registration or $20 at the door. A parent or guardian must sign the permission slip. All proceeds will aid in fund-raising for the Lady Deacons’ spring training trip.
