January 23, 2001 - The Advanced Technology Institute at Bloomfield College will host an open house for its Web Master Certification Program on Friday, February 16, and its Oracle Certified DBA Program on Friday, February 23.

Both open houses will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Room 16 of the Science Building, corner of Liberty Street and Spruce Street in Bloomfield.

Through the Advanced Technology Institute’s Web Master Program, students will train for one of the most attractive careers in the 21st century. The average reported salary for a Web Master is $58,000 - $82,600, according to the 2001 Salary Guide from RHI Consulting.

Advanced Technology Institute’s Web Master Program at Bloomfield College is a 216-hour course covering the technologies and techniques of the Internet. The standard of quality and sophistication in Web pages is increasing both in the Internet and in corporate Intranet applications. The goal of the Web Master Program is to provide students with an understanding of latest technologies and future directions of the Internet.

Through the Oracle Certified DBA Program at the Advanced Technology Institute, students master the skills necessary to set up, maintain, diagnose, tune and troubleshoot an Oracle database, as well as configure and troubleshoot Net8 in a networked environment.

The Oracle Certified DBA Program offers students a distinct advantage in an intensely competitive marketplace. By demonstrating a high level of competence using Oracle products, students will earn an industry-recognized credential that can help distinguish themselves as proven performers.

Delivered in conjunction with Sylvan Prometric, an industry leader in professional testing, Oracle certification tests will be scenario-based. This is one of the most effective ways to assess hands-on competence and time-critical problem-solving skills.

The Oracle Certified DBA Program is an 18-week program offered on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Web Master Program lasts 24 weeks and includes 8-week sessions such as Web Designer, Web Developer and Web Administrator. These courses are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Advanced Technology Institute programs feature state-of-the art labs and equipment, free lab hours, and professional instructors.
