HALL, GREEN NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE

February 19, 2001, Bloomfield, NJ -- Bloomfield College basketball players Herbie Hall and Nzinga Green were recently selected to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Team.
Hall, a 6’5” sophomore forward from Roselle, led the Deacons (9-17) with 423 points (16.3 ppg) and 181 rebounds (6.9 rpg). He also paced the team in steals (47), blocked shots (25) and free throws made (78). In just two years at Bloomfield College, Hall has already amassed 670 points. As a freshman last year, he averaged 10.3 points and 8 rebounds per game. Before coming to Bloomfield, Hall played power forward for St. Mary’s High School in Elizabeth, where he was named Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Union County, and a two-time Union County Coaches Top 15 selection.
Nzinga Green, a 6’2” center from Newark, tallied a team-high 424 points (16.3 ppg) and 358 rebounds (13.7 rpg) for the Lady Deacons (4-22). She also led the team in blocked shots (23), field goal percentage (47) and ranked second in steals (31). Green hit a season-high 28 points against Teikyo Post in January, and also pulled down 12 rebounds in the game. Last season, Green led the Lady Deacons in rebounding (395) and blocked shots (29). Green, a junior, is a Dean’s List student at Bloomfield College and played high school basketball for Chad Science Academy.
