Bloomfield College Circus Troupe To Present Free Performance

On Saturday, May 4th, at 11 a.m., Bloomfield College’s circus troupe, CircusWorks will present a free performance in the Robert V. Van Fossan Theatre at the College’s Westminster Arts Center, corner of Franklin and Fremont Streets in Bloomfield, NJ. All are welcome to attend.

CircusWorks has been entertaining and instructing audiences of all ages since 1988. The troupe has performed and conducted workshops on campus as well as at schools, community centers, nursing homes and special events throughout the state.

“The performing and literary arts represent an effective educational tool to promote students’ self-confidence and achievement, to encourage a sense of social responsibility, and to transcend the boundaries of race and ethnicity,” said David Rosenak, director of Arts Education at the College.

Students enrolled in the College’s introductory circus arts classes will join the members of CircusWorks in their performance. Thirty students will perform acts of juggling, acrobatics, tightwire walking, fire-eating and much more. For more information or directions to the College, call 973-748-9000, ext. 129.
