BLOOMFIELD VOLLEYBALL CLAIMS CACC CROWN

November 5, 2002, Bloomfield, NJ -- On Friday, Nov. 1st Bloomfield defeated Georgian Court 30-17, 30-28, 30-24 in the semifinals of the CACC Tournament, then went on to defeat Teikyo Post Unversity 30-13, 31-29, 30-25 in the finals. Bloomfield finished the season 18-14 overall and 14-4 in the conference. Eduarda Modaneze was selected Player of the Year in the Conference and MVP of the Conference Tournament. She posted 633 kills for the season for a .261 hitting percentage and a 5.81 K/game average. She also had 639 digs for a 5.86 D/game average, and had a 1.63 blocks/game average. Cintia Spaniol made First Team All Conference and was selected to the All Tournament Team. She finished the season hitting .278, tops on the team. |
