STUDENT VOLUNTEER CENTER ORGANIZES HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

November 14, 2002, Bloomfield, NJ -- The Student Volunteer Center at Bloomfield College and the Protestant Community Center, Inc. invite you to join them in the spirit of giving by participating in a holiday food drive.

The project, spearheaded by Bloomfield College students Kenneth Fortunah and Constantina Meis, will collect non-perishable food throughout the holiday season. All collected food will be donated to those less fortunate in Bloomfield, Newark and surrounding communities. After the Thanksgiving season, the drive will be expanded to include the collection of clothes and toys.

Those interested in donating to the holiday drive may bring non-perishable food items to the bins located in the Office of Career Services, 12 Austin Place; or the Center for Adult Learning, 185 Liberty Street, in Bloomfield.

For more information about the holiday drive and volunteer opportunities, please contact Kenneth Fortunah or Constantina Meis in the Student Volunteer Center, 973-748-9000 ext. 132 or via e-mail, SVC@bloomfield.edu.
