| It is with tremendous pleasure that the Bloomfield College Division of Student Affairs announces the launching of the “Portraits of Excellence” program. The Portraits of Excellence Program is intended to feature and acknowledge a Bloomfield College student on a monthly basis for the achievement of excellence within or outside the College Community.
Recognition will be awarded on the basis of distinguish service/volunteerism, major involvement in leadership, distinguished intellectual activity; or direct participation in activities reflective of the College’s Mission “to prepare students to attain academic, personal and professional excellence in a multicultural and global society .” Recognized students will be profiled on the Student Affairs page via the link “About Students”, and entered as finalists for recognition as Distinguished Student of the Year at the Student Affairs Annual Awards Ceremony. A generous gift will be awarded to the selected Distinguished Student of the Year candidate. Monthly selection of featured students will be
based on the review of nomination forms from
faculty, administration, staff, or representatives
of organizations affiliated with a nominee’s distinguished service/accomplishment. Representatives of these constituent groups may nominate any current full or part-time matriculating student at the College. Nominations are accepted and reviewed by the Student Affairs Deans’ Office between the 5 th and the 25 th day of October, November, February, March and April.
